The
National Autism Outreach Foundation was established
to directly impact the lives of families affected by autism in profound
and transforming ways. The goal of the NAOF
is to change the ways in which parents and professionals perceive
autism and to provide the tools, resources, strategies and techniques
needed to maximize the developmental potential of children with
autism.
Presently,
much of the funding raised within the autism community is directed
toward scientific and educational research. While research is needed
to uncover the causes and the cure for this disorder, families and
professionals also need to feel the arms of outreach, need to hear
meaningful messages of empowerment, and need to affordably access
the resources that can help their children to lead hope-filled and
productive lives.
The NAOF
is solely dedicated to the individuals whose lives are
affected by autism. Funding at the NAOF
provides practical help and direction. Families and professionals
will be able to access information, training, and consultation for
their children and students at little to no cost. The founders of
NAOF believe that
all children and their families deserve and outstretched hand of
help, love, direction and opportunity. No longer will the outcome
of a child’s future depend on the financial ability of a parent
to provide private consultation or the willingness of a school district
to provide effective services.
The process
of empowerment and change is challenging, yet promising. The The
National Autism Outreach Foundation is leading the
way and lighting a path where compassion, wisdom, goodness, direction,
help and hope abound. The autism community needs to no longer settle
for anything less.
